When I try to print a document from Adobe Acrobat it looks like the job is sent, it goes through transferring data on the job (I can watch it in the Mac Print Center), the display on the Printer says that it is printing for a few moments then goes blank and the printer never tries to pick up paper. The job on the queue item goes away without error.
I have tried:
- HP Smart Diagnose & Fix - the test print works
- Troubleshooting steps that the AI Assistant recommends
- Restarting my computer
- Restarting the printer
- Restarting the computer with the printer unplugged for 2 minutes
- Removing the printer and reinstalling it, both via HP Smart and manually
- Updated MacOS
- Updated Adobe Acrobat
Any help would be appreciated.

After finding that the HP Smart Friend service does not support Macs, and having identified that the issue lies with Acrobat printing, I contacted Adobe and found out that there is a known issue with Acrobat and the MacOS Sequoia. You must go into the Advanced button and select “Print as Image.” This allowed me to print from Acrobat itself.
