HP DeskJet 2721e All-in-One Printer

No matter what I try I can't get this printer to print central on a page of A4. It is less than a month old, and I have used it on several laptops all with the same result. It always prints too far off to the left margin which is really frustrating. I can't see anything anywhere to change this setting and I'm printing from different programs, all which have the preview looking correct.

Can anyone point me in the right direction? I have download the app to detect for problems but nothing is detected.

Thank you

Hi @Hamiedog,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd like to help!

If your HP DeskJet 2721e All-In-One Printer is not printing in the center of the page and is instead printing towards the sides, there could be a few potential causes for this issue. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the problem:

Printer Firmware Update: Check if there's a firmware update available for your printer. Updating the printer's firmware can sometimes address printing-related issues. Click here

Check Paper Alignment: Ensure that the paper you're using is properly aligned in the paper tray. Make sure the paper guides are snug against the edges of the paper stack to prevent it from skewing during printing.

Paper Size Settings: Verify that the paper size settings in your printer software or driver match the paper size you have loaded in the printer. If there's a mismatch, it could lead to incorrect printing placement.

Printer Driver Settings: Check the printer driver settings on your computer. Make sure that the paper size and layout settings are correctly configured. Adjusting settings like margins, orientation, and paper type may help resolve the issue.

Calibrate Printer: Some printers have calibration features that can help align the print heads and ensure accurate printing placement. for instructions on how to perform a calibration or alignment process. Click here

Software Application Settings: If you're printing from a specific software application (e.g., Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat), make sure that the print settings within the application are correctly configured.

Test with Different Paper: Sometimes the paper itself can be the issue. Try using a different batch or type of paper to see if the problem persists.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
