Deskjet 3054
macOS 10.14 Mojave

I am using an HP Deskjet 3054 All-in-one printer. When I check supply levels it shows my color cartridge is almost full. When I print a test page everything looks great, but when I print an actual document (with pictures), the colors are printed all wrong. I have tried cleaning the print heads, manually cleaning the cartridges, and I've done/checked everything in the HP article about troubleshooting printing.

I downloaded and installed the newest driver from the HP website, which is 5.1. But when I go to printer utility and "device information," it says "HP Inkjet 9 Driver 2.3.2" which I don't think is correct. If this is a problem with the driver, how do I get it to update the new driver that I installed? I tried resetting both my computer and the printer.

I have been trying to get this to work for hours and just want to be able to print regularly like I used to.

@jkdjos432, Welcome to HP Support Community!

Ensure that the printer is up to date with its firmware and Mac is up to date with its software. If you are unsure you may use the links below to update the printer firmware and Mac software:

Update printer firmware

Update software on Mac

Remove and add the printer

Click the Apple menu, and then select System Preferences.

Depending on your operating system version, click Print & Fax, Print & Scan, or Printers & Scanners.

Click the name of your printer, click the Minus sign, and then delete the printer.

Select printer and click the minus sign

Click the Plus sign, and then click Add Printer or Scanner.

Click the Use or Print Using box, and then select AirPrint

Select AirPrint from the Use menu

Click Add to add the printer to the list.

Try to print.
