Hello everyone. HP Smart software is not working on my laptop. I already uninstalled and reinstated it several times, tried to find a way through problem solutions and nothing has changed. After clicking on "accept all preferences", when we run the software for the first time, the page gets completely blank. No button, nothing. How to solve this?

Hi @Cadou

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

It’s frustrating when software refuses to cooperate despite multiple attempts at fixing it.

Let’s walk through some possible solutions to resolve the blank page issue in HP Smart on your Windows 11 laptop:

1. Check System Compatibility

Confirm your laptop meets the system requirements for HP Smart. Windows 11 should work fine, but ensure it’s updated:

Go to Settings > Windows Update and install any pending updates.

Restart your laptop once the updates are applied.

2. Clear Cache and Temporary Files

Corrupt cache or temporary files might cause the software to malfunction:

Press Win + R, type temp, and hit Enter. Delete all files in this folder.

Repeat the process for prefetch and %temp%.

Restart your laptop and try launching HP Smart again.

3. Run HP Smart as Administrator

Running the software with administrative privileges might resolve the issue:

Right-click on the HP Smart shortcut or executable file.

Select Run as administrator.

Accept the preferences and check if the blank screen issue is resolved.

4. Check Firewall/Antivirus Settings

Security software may block HP Smart from functioning correctly:

Temporarily disable your antivirus or firewall.

Launch HP Smart and check if it works.

If it resolves the issue, add HP Smart as an exception in your firewall/antivirus settings.

5. Install Microsoft .NET Framework

HP Smart relies on certain system frameworks:

Download and install the latest version of the Microsoft .NET Framework. https://dotnet.microsoft.com/

Restart your laptop and retry the software.

6. Use HP Print and Scan Doctor

HP provides a free tool called HP Print and Scan Doctor to diagnose and resolve printing and scanning problems.

Download and run HP Print and Scan Doctor from the link below to quickly and automatically perform several troubleshooting tasks known to resolve this issue.

When this link is clicked, HP Print and Scan Doctor is downloaded using your Internet browser's download capabilities.

If this solution hits the spot, please come back and click "Accepted Solution" to help others find the answer. And if you'd like to say thanks, select "Yes" on the bottom left of the public post, as that would make our day!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
