Operating System: macOS 11.0 Big Sur

Hi,

Have been donated a Samsung lazer printer, SCX-6423FN but finding a driver so the MacBook Pro, Big Sur v11.7 can run it is proving difficult.  Looks like HP now support Samsung hardware but on using the Driver Downloads page I'm told this particular printer is no longer supported.  Is there any way of working around this or is this printer now for recycling?

Any guidance would be gratefully received!

Hi @EJay2 ,

Please download driver for Samsung printer from the Apple drivers page:

https://support.apple.com/kb/dl905?locale=en_US

 

And then Add printer in Mac System Preferences > Printers.

 

* Click on YES button  to say thanks, 

* Click on the button Accepted Solution if the question is answered.

Thanks for your reply/time FerRX,

 

Unfortunately I tried this option before but to no avail! On opening the SamsungPrinterDrivers.dmg I get a message informing me the certificate has expired. Looks like the software developer has no further versions beyond those that work with OS 10.15.
