HP OfficeJet Pro 8125e All-in-One Printer

I can't get the printer to a place where I can install the software and connect to wifi. Control panel is stuck at a certain place, so can't use it to go to home. Have tried so many things. Also, don't have the WPS pin on printer.

@Natkay, Hello and welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your question. I'm here to help you get things back on track.

I understand you're having trouble installing software and connecting your HP OfficeJet Pro 8125e to Wi-Fi, and the control panel seems stuck. Let's walk through a few steps to get your printer back on track.

Restart the Printer

If the control panel is unresponsive or stuck:

  1. Power off the printer using the power button.
  2. If it doesn’t respond, unplug the power cord from the back.
  3. Wait 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.
  4. Wait for the printer to become idle and check if the home screen appears.

Restore Wi-Fi Setup Mode

If you're unable to connect to Wi-Fi and don’t have the WPS PIN:

  1. On the printer, press and hold the Wireless button and Cancel button together for 5 seconds.
  2. This should restore the printer to Wi-Fi setup mode (the wireless light will blink).
  3. Now you can use the HP Smart app to connect the printer to your Wi-Fi.

Use HP Smart App for Setup

  1. Download the HP Smart app from HP Smart App Download. HP Smart
  2. Open the app and click “+” to add your printer.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to connect to Wi-Fi and install software.

Update Firmware (Optional but Recommended)

Once connected, update the printer firmware via:
