Product: HP MFP M278 software
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

When trying to re-install or uninstall new version 44.7.2712 Full Web package, software fails stating error message "Error -2147467259: Failed to find Driver Packages to process.".  Unable to uninstall MPF M278-M281 Basic Device Software with Win 10 Uninstall app.  No solution found on HP website.  Dead in the water trying to print or scan.  Any suggestions greatly appreciated.  Cheers

Hi,

Try uninstalling the HP Software using the Microsoft Fixit Utility below:

Once completing the uninstall, restart your PC and reinstall the HP Software again.

I did the uninstall and after more than an hour, the uninstall was completed.  When I tried to restart and re-install the newer version - "LJM278-M281_UWWL_4_1_Full_WebPack_44.5.2693" it failed.  It would start to do the installation of the 9 pieces of software and fail halfway thru the initial HP Basic driver and now posts an error code = 2753.  There is no instance of the software in the list of Programs and Features, so using the uninstall software from MS will not work.  I tried to use the "Install" option and now it asks for a Product Code for the HP software that looks a lot like the product code for an MS software package. Can you help me, using the new error code?  I have tried to re-install the older versions, and those fail as well.  Sorry, I am back to square ONE again. I submitted the error messages using the installer links at the end of the sequence.  It has brought up the MSI install failure app and I will try that process.  Cheers
