HP Deskjet 3055A e-All-in-One Printer - J611n
Microsoft Windows 11

Hello,

I am having problems with my Deskjet 3055A. This is a new PC with Windows 11. Everything was fine on an older Windows 10 PC.

Printing seems to be fine, for individual jobs. If, however I print two items in succession, such that the second queues behind the first in the spooler, it seems that the first job gets stuck and nothing the proceeds.

I have to stop the spooler service and delete jobs in order to get back up and running.

Any suggestions gratefully received please.

I have tried reinstalling drivers & HP Smart, several times.

Hi @Hangleton,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you are experiencing problems spooling to your HP Deskjet 3055A printer, there are a few steps you can try to resolve the issue.

  1. Check printer connections: Ensure that the printer is properly connected to your computer or network. Make sure the USB cable is securely plugged in or that your printer is connected to the correct wireless network.
  2. Restart the printer and computer: Turn off the printer and computer, then power them back on. This can help refresh the connection between the devices and resolve any temporary issues.
  3. Clear print queue: Sometimes, print jobs can get stuck in the print queue, causing subsequent print jobs to fail. Open the print queue on your computer and cancel or delete any pending print jobs. Restart the printer and try printing again.
  4. Update printer drivers: Outdated or corrupted printer drivers can cause spooling issues. Visit the HP support website and search for the latest drivers for your specific printer model. Download and install the updated drivers on your computer.
  5. Restart the print spooler service: The print spooler service manages the print jobs on your computer. Sometimes, restarting this service can help resolve spooling problems. Here's how to do it.

  • Press Windows + R on your keyboard to open the Run dialog box.
  • Type "services.msc" (without quotes) and press Enter.
  • In the Services window, scroll down and find "Print Spooler" in the list.
  • Right-click on "Print Spooler" and select "Restart."
  • Wait for the service to restart and try printing again.

       6. Reinstall the printer: If none of the above steps work, try removing the printer from your computer and then reinstalling it. To do this.

  • Disconnect the printer from your computer.
  • Open the Control Panel on your computer and go to "Devices and Printers."
  • Right-click on the HP Deskjet 3055A printer and select "Remove device" or "Delete."
  • Restart your computer.
  • Reconnect the printer and follow the on-screen instructions to reinstall it.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

Thanks for the reply.

I have tried all of those things, but to no avail.

Are there perhaps any known compatibility issues with Windows 11?
