Purchase a Pagewide Enterprise Color MFP 586 only want to use it on a single computer cannot seem to get it to recognize the USB cable bought new cable USB A to USB B ? downloaded the HP_Ent_Color_Flow_MFP_586_PCL_6_WinPlus Full Solution 19234. Had also reset to default thinking USB was disabled since it was use in a Corporate enterprise previous environment ? Verified I could scan and copy offline and there are no discernable errors messages on the screen-pad
Appreciate any suggestion or direction

Do you get any usb connection beep when you plug in the cable to both the printer and computer? If not it is possible that the USB has been disabled and you may need to temporarily connect via a wired ethernet in order to access the embedded web server and activate the usb port again.

I appreciate the feedback, as I said a friend sold me a PageWide Enterprise Color MFP 586 I when I plug in the USB there is no indication it recognizes the USB i tried this with a Windows 10 desktop and a Windows 11 laptop. As you mentioned i suspect the USB was disabled since originally this printer was used in a corporate environment. Can you direct me where I can get information on accessing the inner controls to allow access thru the Usb or with a ethernet cable at this point either would be ok. Thanks!

Default on Enterprise products is USB disabled and you need to go to the setup menu and enable host USB. Download the user guide from support.hp.com.
