Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

I have an OfficeJetPro 8100 N811a. I cannot find a way to upgrade (or turn off) firmware.

 

I have tried following these instructions for Enabing/Disabling automatic HP firmware updates via HP Smart: 

1. Click the printer image on the home screen.
2. Click Advanced Settings.
3. Click Tools.
4. Click Printer Updates

5. Click Firmware Updates - but there is no Firmware Updates to click!

 

I have also tried to follow the same instructions after browsing to the web server.  HP Smart Advanced Settings and the Web Server produce the same GUI. I have attached screenshots of the two most likely tabs from this GUI below

I have also looked at all the other tabs and there is no option for Firmware Update anywhere.

 

I have been told elsewhere that this means the firmware can only be upgraded from PC software. Is that correct? If so what software is required - as I already have HP Smart installed?

 

Can someone please advise me what is going on and what I am doing wrong?
