Hi,
We have a client with HP Color LaserJet 400s, using PCL6 driver version 5.3, installed on a 2011 SBS system.
They print fine during the day, but a scheduled task that is set to run and print overnight from the server is printing, but leaving a RUNDLL32.EXE looping at 25% of CPU on this quad core server.
The full CMD it's running as seen in task manager is:
Rundll32 c:\windows\system32\spool\drivers\x64\3\hpmsn113.dll,monitorprintjobstatus /pjob=127 /pname=”hp 400 workshop”
Is this a known issue that can be fixed with a different driver?
many thanks
Rob

I'm facing exactly the same issue, everyday there's new rundll32.exe process be trigger until the system crashed.
the command line information is: "rundll32 C:\Windows\system32\spool\DRIVERS\W32X86\3\hpmsn160.dll, MonitorPrintJobStatus /pjob=84 'pname "REPORT_PRINTER"",
the the printer is HP LaserJet 700 M712,
Any conculsion on this?

Sorry Joseph this was so long ago I can't remember the resolution if there was one. I suspect from the deafening silence from HP that there wasn't, and that I created some sort of batch file to delete all those tasks once per night. That's just a guess though

thanks for your feedback, unfortunately, scheduling kill rundll32.exe via bat file not applicable for our case since there are also other application need trigger rundll32.exe. However, today I have dowloaded the latest printer driver and updated to site server, and I have did observation, after midnight, there's no rundll32.exe be triggered for report printing, will do further observation, hopefully it doesn't increase rundll32.exe process day by day anymore.
