HP ENVY 6055e All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 11

Reference: HP Envy 6055e

Printing and scanning from the HP Smart App are working fine in this existing configuration (see[edit] step 1) …what got me confused is this annoying pop-up at random times (see[edit]/step 2) …as instructed, I clicked / “tapped” the pop-up notification and another pop-up appeared (see [edit] step 3) …clicking “Allow” brought up an error message (see [edit] step 4). In the final attempt to find a solution, I clicked on the three dots at the upper right corner only to see that the two options are grayed out so that they are disabled (see [edit] step 5) …no luck …not giving up, I did the old tricks—clear data/cache and restarted pc …nope, the notification popped up again. This time something else happened when for the second time, I clicked “Add Device” only to find myself going in a circle as this “new” device disappeared from Settings/Bluetooth & device > Printers & scanners (see [edit], and new [edit]). I am exasperated …please help this senior, a latecomer to technology …thanks.
