Had an issue ever since I updated to Mac 10.15.7 from an earlier version of Mac 10.15.7
The issue is that I can no longer print because when I do I get a message that says "Printing page 1 100% complete". No printing has actually taken place. I then get a message that says, " waiting for printer to become available"
I have disconnected and reconnected to my Mac several times. I have tried just about everything I could locate on line as a fix except resetting my printing system (apparently there are no drivers to be obtained from HP for this printer)
Using printer HP Deskjet 460. Mac 10.15.7. Connected by USB. This is my secondary printer and I don't want to reset the printing system on my Mac.

@CDHelpPlease, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
There is no driver available for this model printer on the HP Support site to work on macOS 10.15.
This model printer is not AirPrint compatible too. However, Gutenprint (formerly called Gimp-Print) provides open-source basic print drivers for many printers that would otherwise not be supported in Mac OS X. To see if your printer is supported, go to Gutenprint drivers for more information.
NOTE: Gutenprint drivers are not supported by HP or Apple.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

I actually have a HP Deskjet 460 and not a 2050. It previously worked using the earlier version of Catalina. I had the issue when I went to OS 10.15.7. Any ideas about how to get around this would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, I understand you have an HP Deskjet 460. There are no drivers available. You may use the Guten print drivers and check if that helps.
Keep me posted for any other assistance.
