Hi had to change password on wifi and HP8035e wouldn't connect. So I removed it and was trying to add it back but can't seem to find the driver. I have also added a VPN so not sure if that has anything to do with it as well.

@ChipLA, Welcome to the HP Support Community – it’s great to have you here!
I appreciate you taking the time to share your question. I'm more than happy to assist with this and provide a solution that works for you.
Let's get your HP OfficeJet Pro 8035e reconnected and working smoothly on macOS 15.0 Sequoia. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you resolve the issue:
Prepare Your Printer for Wi-Fi Setup
Since you changed your Wi-Fi password, the printer needs to be reconnected to the network:
- On the printer's touchscreen, go to Settings > Network Setup > Wireless Settings.
- Select Wireless Setup Wizard.
- Choose your Wi-Fi network and enter the new password.
Disable VPN Temporarily
VPNs can interfere with printer discovery and driver installation. Please disconnect your VPN before proceeding with setup or driver installation.
Install HP Smart App (Recommended for macOS 15)
HP Smart is the easiest way to set up and manage your printer on macOS:
- Download HP Smart from the Mac App Store or HP Smart
- Open the app and sign in or create an HP account.
- Click “+” to add a printer, and follow the on-screen instructions to connect your printer to Wi-Fi and install the necessary drivers.
Download Drivers (if needed)
If HP Smart doesn’t automatically install the driver, you can manually download it:

Note: You can try using AirPrint, which is built into macOS and supports basic printing and scanning without additional drivers.
