Try these steps:

USB Connection

Connect the Printer:

  • Ensure your printer is powered on.
  • Connect the printer to your computer using a USB cable directly into a USB port.

Install Printer Software:

  • Visit the HP Support website and search for your printer model.
  • Download and install the latest drivers and software for your printer.

Add Printer to Your System:

  • For Windows: Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers > Add a printer and follow the on-screen instructions.
  • For macOS: Open System Preferences > Printers & Scanners, click +, and select your printer from the list.

Wireless Connection

Prepare Printer for Wireless Setup:

  • Ensure the printer is powered on.
  • On your printer, go to the wireless settings menu and choose the option to restore network settings.

Connect to Wi-Fi Network:

  • Use the printer's control panel to connect it to your Wi-Fi network.
  • You may need to enter your Wi-Fi password during this step.

Install Printer Software:

  • Visit the HP Support website and search for your printer model.
  • Download and install the latest drivers and software for your printer.

Add Printer to Your System:

  • For Windows: Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers > Add a printer and follow the on-screen instructions to add a network printer.
  • For macOS: Open System Preferences > Printers & Scanners, click +, and select your printer from the list.
