Hi @RobenEC,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand you’re trying to reconnect your HP OfficeJet Pro 8710 printer to your computer. Let’s go through a few simple steps to get it connected again.

a. Check Network Connection

Make sure your printer and computer are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

On the printer’s control panel, tap the Wireless icon → verify the Wi-Fi signal is on and connected.

If not connected, go to Wireless Setup Wizard on the printer and follow the on-screen steps to reconnect it to your Wi-Fi.

b. Verify Printer Status on Your Computer

On Windows:

Go to Settings → Bluetooth & Devices → Printers & Scanners.

If the OfficeJet Pro 8710 is listed, click it and select Remove Device, then re-add it.

Click Add Device → wait for the printer to appear → select Add.

On Mac:

Open System Settings → Printers & Scanners.

Remove the printer if listed, then click the ‘+’ icon to add it again.

Choose the printer from the detected list (ensure it shows as Bonjour or Network printer).

c. Reinstall the Printer Driver (if needed)

Download and install HP Smart from 123.hp.com.

Open HP Smart, sign in (or create an account), and follow the prompts to add your printer.

The app will automatically find the printer and guide you through setup.

d. USB Connection Option (if Wi-Fi setup fails)
If Wi-Fi is not working, connect the printer to your computer using a USB cable.

HP Smart or your OS will automatically detect it and install the drivers.

e. Test Print
Once reconnected, print a test page to ensure communication between your printer and computer is successful.

I hope this helps.
