I have an old printer i got as a gift from a friend. it is and HP DESKJET INK ADVANTAGE 2516. i bought the compatible ink in my region which is the HP678 cartridge. but it doesnt accept it. after searching for a while i found that the region has to be changed since the friend who gifted it to me bought it from abroad. how should i reset my region to where i am now, which is asia

If the printer will be used in a different region from where it was originally bought and used, we need to perform some changes called a regional reset for your printer; only after that will you be able to use the printer with the current region's ink cartridges.
