Please help me change the regional settings of my HP Deskjet 2300 back to the original regional settings.

Product No. is 7WN42B. Originally it says to use Ink Cartridges 305/305XL black and colour - and, according to the HP Smart App, also 307XL black.

 

In February I got assistance from HP Support to change the regional settings of my printer in order to overcome problems with getting and installing ink cartridges. Unfortunately, it did not solve my problem! But the software was changed to only accept Ink Cartridges 124/124XL black and colour, which I was also not able to get here.

 

I live temporarily in Tanzania, bought the printer (new from store) here, but was not able to get new 305/305XL ink cartridges. Also I can't get 124/124XL here, but managed to get 305XL black and colour recently from Denmark. The printer is probably a Middle East version originally.

I see that we already tried to reset the printer but it failed and hence you were referred to HP Technical Support team. Did you contact the Support team for further assistance?

Thank you for your reply. It's true we communicated about this in February. I'm afraid I was so tired and confused og disappointed about the process and the unfortunate outcome of changing the regional settings on my printer, that I couldn't find the energy to start another (probably) tiresome process, so I gave up!

The printer worked a few times with the last drops of the setup cartridges, but then I couldn't find the cartridges for the new regional settings, and now that I've got cartridges for the original settings, I can't install them.

I believe, the printer will work, if I can just get your help to make a region reset back to the original settings. That would be great. Will you help me do that, please?

What number ink cartridges are you trying to use now?
