Hello,
I bought an HP OfficeJet 3831 All-in-One Printer in the UK, but I recently moved to the US. I bought new, compatible ink cartridges in the US (63 vs the 302 in the UK), but they do not work, since my printer is region locked. NOTE, I just have a black ink cartridge, since I do not need or use a colour ink cartridge.
I would like to do a regional reset / full reset / re-initialize on my printer, but I am unable to do so through phone support as my printer's warranty is expired.
Could an HP Support Agent help me with this? I have the proper USB cable to connect the printer to my computer (Windows 10, 64-bit), the full-featured software of the printer (HP Smart, HP Support Assistant, and HP OfficeJet 3830 Series apps) installed on my computer, and the US compatible black ink cartridge (HP Ink 63) for my printer. Again, I do not have a colour ink cartridge - if this is needed for the reset, please let me know.
