Hello I bought a hp printer 4535 from Saudi to the Philippines. The ink I use was the one compatible which was 652, however I cannot seem to find it in store. Is there an equivalent ink here in the Philippines? I see people with the same issue having a code for regional reset? Can someone help me

Hi @Julbi,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Thank you for reaching out, and we completely understand the situation. This happens quite often when a printer is purchased in one region and brought to another. You're right: your HP DeskJet Ink Advantage 4535 uses HP 652 cartridges, which are typically sold in the Middle East, Africa, and select Eastern European regions — but they’re not sold in the Philippines.

To use locally available ink (like HP 680 in the Philippines), your printer needs a Regional Reset — this will switch your printer to accept cartridges from your current region.

To perform a printer region reset, you need to meet the following conditions:

1. The printer should be connected using a printer USB cable to the computer.

2. You need to have the printer's full feature software installed on your computer.

3. You need to have all the cartridges either from the region/country from where the printer was purchased originally, or the new region/country to which you want to reset it.

4. Make sure the HP Smart App is installed too.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
