Hi @lmadel,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I'll be glad to help you.
I understand you've moved from France to the UK and need to regionalize your HP Tango X so it can use the ink cartridges available in your current region.
HP printers use different ink cartridges in different regions. To use the cartridges sold in the UK, we'll need to change the printer's regional settings.
To help you with the regionalization process, could you please get back to me with the following information:
- Do you still have the ink cartridges from both regions (France and the UK)?
- Do you have a USB cable to connect the printer to a computer?
- Which operating system are you using, Windows or Mac?
- Do you have the printer's full feature software/drivers installed on your computer?
Once I have this information, I'll guide you through the next steps to complete the region reset and get your HP Tango X working with the UK ink cartridges.
Hope this helps!

Hi @lmadel
To complete this procedure, you must contact HP in the printer's country of origin and request regionalization for your new location.
Once completed, you will be able to print.
Best regards

Hello Vikram,
I am back in the UK now and I have checked each point you mentioned.
1. I am using cartridge from UK only
2. My printer doesn't have any USB plug so there is no way to plug an USB cable in it
3. I am using a Mac System
4. I have the full HP features installed in my computer.
Best regards,
Laurent

Hi @lmadel,
Thank you for getting back to us and for confirming those details. I appreciate you taking the time to check each of the points.
Since you're now back in the UK, using genuine UK cartridges, working on a Mac, and already have the HP full-feature software installed, let's try the regional reset process again using the wireless connection, as the USB connection is optional and not required for all printer models.
Kindly note that Mac is no longer supported for performing the printer region reset procedure. The reset instructions provided can only be completed using a supported Windows computer with the printer's full-feature software and the HP app installed.
The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.
I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.

To perform a printer region reset you need to meet the following conditions:
1. You need to have the printer full feature software installed on your computer.
2.you only need the cartridges purchased from the new region/country to which you want to reset it to.
3. Make sure HP Smart App is installed too.
4. The old cartridges will stop working once the reset is successful, so ensure you deplete the ink before switching to the new region using this reset.
Take care and have an amazing day ahead! 🚀
