Hello,
I am writing to seek help with an issue I am facing on my HP M577. My old HDD got corrupted, so I bought a new 1TB WD Blue HDD to replace it. However, after installing (using "ease secure") it, I encountered an error message saying that the HDD is not supported. I tried downloading the firmware to flash it, but the error persisted even after restarting the printer.
Can someone please guide me on how to resolve this issue?
Thank you for your assistance in advance.

The only time you could use a non-SED drive would be if you were installing FutureSmart 3 firmware. FS 4 and 5 require SED.

You need to use a SED (self encrypting drive). Must be SATA (SSD drives not supported) You are honestly best off ordering the correct drive from HP Part number L41606-011

Okay, so I need to use a SED HDD to use it. The 2.5" HDD I bought is SATA, not SSD.
It's just that I read on the forum that I can use the HDD from 3rd party, just need to run the Ease Secure and flash the firmware to the new HDD.
Thank you for your reply.
