I lost the passwordword of the embedded web server of my envy 7134 printer
I tried resetting the network settings as it describes that it will also reset the wsl setting
That did not work
I tried username admin and left the password blank
How can i reset the password for the admin user

Hi @mark121545,
Welcome to the HP Support Community
I understand you are facing an issue with your HP Printer. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.
We have to perform an NVRAM Reset to unlock the features of the printer/Reset the password.
The reset instructions are specific to your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.
I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Community profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted. -
Please click “Accepted Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution. Click the “Kudos/Thumbs Up" on the bottom right to say “Thanks” for helping!

hi
Thank you for helping with my problem
I tried the procedure Setup > Network Setup > Restore Network Settings but this did not reset the password for the embedded webserver
I found a menu item to do a factory reset. After activating this the password was reset.
Initialy I was afraid to loos my free instant ink plan during a factory reset but after reenabling webservice and restarting the printer the instant ink plan worked once again.
Thank you for your help

I have the same problem with my Envy 4520. I had accessed the web server a couple of years ago and changed the username and password only now it rejects the entries I used from my notes and keeps locking me out when I try alternates.
