@Jt9869, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you're seeing a yellow flashing light on your HP Tango printer, and it seems related to the ink cartridges. I’ll guide you through the steps to resolve this.
A blinking yellow light on the HP Tango printer typically indicates an issue with the ink cartridges, this could be due to:
- Improper cartridge installation
- Low or empty ink
- Cartridge not recognized
- Protective tape not removed
Steps to Reset and Troubleshoot
Check the Ink Cartridges
- Open the printer cover.
- Remove both cartridges.
- Gently wipe the copper-colored contacts with a lint-free cloth.
- Reinsert the cartridges firmly until they click into place.
Check for Protective Tape
- Ensure the plastic tape covering the ink nozzles has been removed. If not, gently peel it off.
Power Reset the Printer
- With the printer on, unplug the power cord from the back.
- Wait 60 seconds.
- Plug it back in and turn the printer on.
Check HP Smart App
- Open the HP Smart app on your phone or PC. HP Smart
- Go to Printer Status to see if any specific error messages appear.
Update Firmware (if needed)
- Visit the HP Support page.
- Enter your printer model (HP Tango) and install any available firmware updates.
If the issue persists, try performing a printer reset:
- Press and hold the Wireless and Power buttons together for about 5 seconds.
- Release when the printer starts blinking.
- Reconnect the printer using the HP Smart app.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
