Hi @P00Ingle1,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you're locked out of the control panel and need to reset your HP OfficeJet Pro 9015e All-in-One Printer to factory settings, here are some steps you can try:
Method 1: Reset via HP Smart App HP printer setup (HP Smart app)
- Install the HP Smart App: If you haven’t already, download and install the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device.
- Add the Printer: Open the HP Smart app and add your printer using its IP address or connection.
- Access Printer Settings:
- In the app, locate your printer in the list.
- Go to the Advanced Settings (sometimes listed as "EWS" or "Embedded Web Server").
- Factory Reset:
- Under the Settings or Maintenance tab, look for a factory reset option.
- Follow the prompts to reset the printer.
Method 2: Use the Printer's Hardware Reset
If you’re locked out of the control panel, you might need to perform a semi-full reset using the hardware buttons. Here's how:
- Power Off: Turn off the printer completely.
- Unplug the Power Cord: Unplug the printer from the power source for 60 seconds.
- Power On While Pressing Buttons:
- Plug the printer back in.
- Hold down the Back button (a return arrow symbol) and the Help button (a question mark symbol) simultaneously.
- Continue holding until the reset menu appears.
- Select Factory Reset:
- Use the touch screen (if accessible) or hardware buttons to navigate to the Reset or Restore Factory Settings option.
- Confirm your selection to reset the printer.
Method 3: Use the Printer’s Embedded Web Server (EWS)
If you can still access the printer’s IP address on a browser:
- Open a web browser and enter the printer’s IP address (found on a previous printout or router settings).
- Log in using the printer's credentials (the default admin password is usually on a label inside the printer or in its documentation).
- Navigate to Settings > Restore Factory Defaults and follow the prompts.

I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
