This is simple, power off the unit. Restart and watch the screen, the HP logo will show up. Start tapping on the logo until a blue screen comes up. This is the pre-boot menu. Scroll down to administrator, then scroll to partial clean and select it, click ok, then use the back arrow until you get to the continue option. then click ok again. You can also completely and totally wipe out the system by selecting the format drive   option in the same menu and then going to the download option and then USB (last option) and installing the current firmware. Down load the firmware from support.hp.com and put the .BDL file on a USB stick. The printer will prompt you for the stick when you select the option for USB. Once the download completes, back arrow until you reach continue and unit will restart and install current firmware.

Good morning Repairtrooper,

Thanks for the directions. I have been in the "secret menu' before. I had been VERY cautious. A person

could do some serious damage in there. Is there any place where a person cold find out what all

the options are for or do?
