Hello,

I share an office space and Wi-fi with another company and would like to be able to restrict printing to only the users from my company. Would it be possible to setup the printer to check against who is sending a print request and only print when the user is registered?

Thank you beforehand for your help and attention!

Hi,

A such cannot be controlled by the printer or its configuration options, but only through your network configuration.

The printer can be accessed by any device connected to the same network, you may configure your network's firewall to only allow specific IP addresses of relevant users to access the printer, I suggest contacting your IT Administrator on a such, if not you will need to review your network capabilties and options.

You may also check for the HP JetAdvantage Secure Print solution which provide a basic cloud based pull print solution, however this is not a free seolution and may require some additiona configuration:

Hope that may help,

Shlomi
