HP PageWide Pro MFP 477dw
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello

We have a problem with a HP MFP 477 which is set up to Scan to PC for all users, around 10 in a small office.

We have up until now had no problems scanning 2 sided but at the end of last week the option now appears Greyed out. It is the same for all users no matter which computer we select

We have checked the printer settings in the web, restarted the printer and tried updating the firmware to the latest version which installed fine, but the option to scan 2 sided is still greyed out when selecting scan to PC.

We note that if we start a scan from the Web scan function on the print server page, we can select 2 sided scan and it works fine but we do a lot of scanning and being able to scan from the printer rather than having to keep going between the scanner and computer is important to us.

Anything we can try to allow us to scan to computer with the 2 sided option?

Any suggestions for this, the option briefly worked this morning for a single scan but now it's greyed out again we did not do anything differently. Could it be the papers not being detected by the document feeder?

Maybe I will try factory resetting it, I don't really want to as it's a managed office and it's a pain contacting the IT department to get it connected to the wifi again.
