HP OfficeJet Pro 7740 Wide Format All-in-One Printer

I purchased the HP OfficeJet Pro 7740 Wide Format All-in-One Printer last year.  I set it up, including the scan to email app.  After a week or so, that app has disappeared from the printer's screen.  I tried to update the Print Apps, but got an error message saying the Print Apps could not be updated.  I contacted HP support.  After many calls and attempts to get this fixed, they finaly sent me a new printer.  

 

I received it, and set it up.  The exact same problem has happened within a couple days.  I reached out to HP support, and am basically starting down the same path as before. 

 

The firmware is updated.  My laptop is updated.  

 

Any advice on hot to get the scan to email app added back would be appreciated.

Reset the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer.
  • Wait for about a minute.
  • Plug the power cord back in.
  • Turn on the printer and check if the scan to email app reappears.

Reinstall the Scan to Email App:

  • Access the printer's control panel or settings.
  • Navigate to the Apps or Add Apps section.
  • Look for the scan to email app and reinstall it if available.

Factory Reset:

  • Perform a factory reset on the printer. Be cautious as this will reset all settings to their default.
  • Consult the printer's manual for instructions on how to perform a factory reset.

Check Network Connection:

  • Ensure that your printer is properly connected to the network.
  • If possible, try connecting the printer using a wired connection to see if the issue persists.

Update Firmware:

  • Double-check that you have the latest firmware installed on your printer. If not, update it to the latest version.

HP Smart App:

  • Consider using the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device to manage your printer settings. This app might offer additional options for app management.

Hello,

 

None of these solutions worked.  When I tried to update apps, I receive an message that says there is an error and the app store cannot be updated at this time.

 

I don't understand why restoring back to factory default does not fix the issue.
