Hi @LML23,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To help you scan wirelessly from your HP Envy Inspire 7955 printer to your Mac running macOS Sequoia (macOS 15), follow these steps.

Check Printer Connection

  • Make sure your printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Mac.
  • If you're unsure, print a network configuration page from the printer to verify the connection details.

Install HP Smart App

  • Download and install the HP Smart app from the Mac App Store if you haven’t already.
  • Open the app, add your printer by selecting it from the available devices, and follow the prompts to complete setup.

Update Printer Software

  • Ensure you have the latest printer drivers and software:
    1. Go to HP's Support website.
    2. Search for your printer model (HP Envy Inspire 7955).
    3. Download and install the latest macOS software package.

Use HP Easy Scan or Image Capture

If HP Smart isn’t working, you can use macOS's built-in scanning tools:

Using Image Capture:

  1. Open Image Capture (from Applications folder).
  2. Select your HP Envy Inspire 7955 from the list of devices.
  3. Choose your scan settings and click "Scan."

Using HP Easy Scan:

  1. Open HP Easy Scan (if installed along with the printer driver).
  2. Select your printer and adjust settings (color, resolution, etc.).
  3. Click "Scan" to complete.

Check Firewall Settings

If scanning is still an issue, check if your Mac's firewall is blocking the connection:

  1. Go to System Settings > Privacy & Security > Firewall.
  2. If the firewall is on, ensure that HP Smart and the printer services are allowed.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
