Second hand HP pagewide pro 477dw - How to bypass the cartridge setup ?

Hello,

I just bought a second hand HP pagewide pro 477dw but when trying to setup it's asking me to install the setup cartridge... I bought brand new official HP cartridge but it's not working and the printer did not come with any cartridge.

What can I do to bypass this setup?

Hello ShakesPro,

The Setup cartridges are the ones that come with the printer when new. After performing the initial setup, those Introductory (Setup) cartridges should not be required for normal use. In this case, most likely some sort of hard reset has been performed to the printer. As the unit has been purchased second hand, standard warranty does not apply and the process to overcome such situation have to be done by an HP representative. Because of that reason, the best way to have your printer working will be to take it to a Certified Service Center for repair.
