Entering my serial number in order to reach support is not accepted.

Yes. I have checked the number is correct.

HP this issue has come up hundreds of times in your forum, with many of them "answered" but the only answer is that you reach out privately. Please fix this problem once and for all, or at the very least, don't hide the answer in private messages to users. Thank you.

To assist better:

  • May I have the exact model name of the product? Refer to this document for steps to find the product details. Do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc.

@TexasVanCo, the reason that this issue is dealt with through a private message is that your serial number is needed to escalate and fix the problem, but you do not want your serial number posted openly on the internet. Yes this is a big pain and certainly makes getting support impossible, at least temporarily. If you think that the issue is something someone on the forums could help with, please provide some details of your issue and we will do our best to guide you to a solution.

Thank you for the response! I have given all the details; the problem is that HP's support function does not accept my serial number. Until HP does accept the number, the problem is not resolved. Gaya has responded above to reach out privately, which I appreciate, but does not address the principal problem.
