Hi @Manzpowder

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Setting up your HP DeskJet 3700 can be straightforward, but if you're encountering issues, here’s a step-by-step guide to help you through the process:

1. Unbox and Prepare

  • Unpack the Printer: Remove all packaging materials, including any tape and protective plastic.
  • Install Cartridges: Open the ink cartridge access door, insert the cartridges into their respective slots, and close the door.

2. Connect Power

  • Plug in the Printer: Connect the power cord to the printer and plug it into a wall outlet.
  • Turn It On: Press the power button to turn on the printer.

3. Load Paper

  • Paper Tray: Open the input tray and load paper (make sure it’s aligned properly). Adjust the paper guides to fit the paper size.

4. Connect to Wi-Fi

  • Wireless Setup: Use the printer's control panel to navigate to the wireless settings. Select the Wi-Fi network you want to connect to and enter the password.
  • WPS Method: If your router supports WPS, press the WPS button on your router and then select the WPS option on your printer.

5. Install Software

  • Download the HP Smart App: If you haven't done so already, download the HP Smart app from the HP website or your device's app store.
  • Follow Setup Instructions: Open the app and follow the prompts to add your printer. The app will guide you through the setup process.

6. Test Print

  • After the setup is complete, print a test page to ensure everything is working correctly.

7. Troubleshooting

  • If you encounter any issues during setup, make sure:
    • The printer is within range of the Wi-Fi router.
    • The network settings on the printer are correct.
    • You have the latest drivers installed on your computer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
