I had to do a factory reset on my printer, and now I need to know how to finish setting it back up after I've already created an account.

@Spacebuff2001,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Since you've already created an account, follow these steps to set up your HP OfficeJet Pro 9125e after a factory reset.

Connect the Printer to Wi-Fi

  • On the printer’s control panel, tap the Wi-Fi icon or go to Settings > Network Setup > Wireless Settings.
  • Select your Wi-Fi network and enter the password.
  • If using an Ethernet connection, plug in the cable and the printer should connect automatically.

Sign in to Your HP Account

  • If prompted, sign in to your HP account on the printer.
  • If you need to re-add the printer to your HP Smart account, follow the next step.

Set Up in HP Smart App

  • Open the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device.
  • Select Add a Printer and follow the on-screen instructions.
  • If your printer is not found, try selecting Set Up a New Printer and follow the prompts.

Install Printer Drivers (If Needed)

  • If the printer isn’t working after setup, download and install the latest drivers from HP’s website.
  • Choose your operating system, then download and install the full software package.

Enable HP+ (If Applicable)

  • If your printer is an HP+ model, you might be asked to enable HP+ for additional features.
  • Follow the prompts to activate HP Instant Ink, if desired.

Test the Printer

  • Print a test page to confirm everything is working.
  • If you experience any issues, restart the printer and check the HP Smart app for troubleshooting.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
