HI @Kel250,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It seems like you're encountering an issue while setting up your new HP6055e printer with your Samsung phone using the HP Smart app. Here's what you can try to troubleshoot the problem:
Restart the Printer and Phone: Turn off both your printer and your Samsung phone. After a few seconds, turn them back on and try the setup process again.
Check Wi-Fi Connection: Ensure that both your printer and your phone are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. Sometimes connectivity issues can arise if they're connected to different networks.
Close and Reopen HP Smart App: Force close the HP Smart app on your Samsung phone and reopen it. Sometimes restarting the app can resolve temporary glitches.
Clear App Cache/Data: Go to your phone's settings, find the HP Smart app, and clear its cache and data. Then try setting up the printer again.
Update App and Firmware: Make sure that both the HP Smart app on your phone and the firmware on your HP6055e printer are up to date. Outdated software can sometimes cause compatibility issues.
Reset Printer Network Settings: On your printer's control panel, navigate to the network settings and perform a network reset. Then try reconnecting it to your Wi-Fi network and set it up again through the HP Smart app.
Use Wi-Fi Direct: If you're still experiencing issues, try setting up the printer using Wi-Fi Direct mode instead of connecting it to your home Wi-Fi network. This mode allows your phone to connect directly to the printer without needing a Wi-Fi network.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
