Hello, I bought a used Photosmart C410. The previous owner did a factory reset and now the printer is asking for the setup cartridges (which I don't have). Could you help me bypass this problem?

I have the exact same issue. A client of mine bought an HP printer, it only contained the printer and power chord. model 6000e.

The printer and computer are talking, but cannot print due to the "setup" cartridge error. Double-checked the box and packaging....nothing by styrofoam in there.

if it can be bypassed that would be ideal. Please help if you can with the how-to steps. I'm Comptia Certified so you don't have to go easy on me, but my customer would like to have a working printer.

Hi @ChiefMoca,
Welcome to HP Support Community. This is a great place to post questions and find answers.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I see that you are facing setup cartridge issues on your HP printer.

Please follow the steps listed below to initialize the printer using the regular cartridges.

  1. Open the ink cartridge access door.
  2. Press and hold the Wireless button for at least three seconds.
  3. Close the ink cartridge access door. An alignment page prints, indicating that the printer has initialized.
  4. If the printer does not initialize, repeat these steps until it does.

Let me know if this helps and have a good day.
