Troubleshooting Printer Restart Issue During Scanning

When your HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP 3303fdw restarts while scanning, it may be due to a firmware-related issue. Follow these steps to troubleshoot and resolve the problem:

  1. Firmware Update:
  2. Your printer might experience firmware issues during updates. Check if there is a pending firmware update. The printer should automatically restart and complete the update after about 30-40 seconds.

  1. Restart Your Printer:
  2. Turn Off the Printer: Press the power button to switch off the printer.
  3. Wait: Ensure you wait until all lights are off, indicating it is completely powered down.
  4. Turn On the Printer: Press the power button again to power it back on and try scanning again.
  5. Reset Your Printer to Factory Defaults:
  6. On the printer control panel, navigate to the Menu and select Tools.
  7. Go to Maintenance, select Restore Settings, and then choose Restore All Factory Defaults.
  8. The printer will restart after the restoration process.
  9. Contact HP Support:
