Troubleshooting Printer Restart Issue During Scanning
When your HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP 3303fdw restarts while scanning, it may be due to a firmware-related issue. Follow these steps to troubleshoot and resolve the problem:
- Firmware Update:
- Your printer might experience firmware issues during updates. Check if there is a pending firmware update. The printer should automatically restart and complete the update after about 30-40 seconds.
- Restart Your Printer:
- Turn Off the Printer: Press the power button to switch off the printer.
- Wait: Ensure you wait until all lights are off, indicating it is completely powered down.
- Turn On the Printer: Press the power button again to power it back on and try scanning again.
- Reset Your Printer to Factory Defaults:
- On the printer control panel, navigate to the Menu and select Tools.
- Go to Maintenance, select Restore Settings, and then choose Restore All Factory Defaults.
- The printer will restart after the restoration process.
- Contact HP Support:
