Hi @Rnrbaldera
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.
To set up administrator and user profiles on your HP printer, follow these steps:
Step 1: Access the Printer's Embedded Web Server (EWS)
- Ensure your printer is connected to the same network as your computer.
- Open a web browser and enter the printer's IP address (you can find this on the printer's control panel under Network Settings).
- Log in to the EWS using the default credentials:
- Username: admin
- Password: Check the printer documentation or use the default password provided during setup.
Step 2: Set Up Administrator Profile
- Navigate to the Security or Administrator Settings section in the EWS.
- Create a new administrator password to secure the printer.
- Enable or customize administrator privileges, such as access to network settings, firmware updates, and user management.
Step 3: Add User Profiles
- Go to the User Management section in the EWS.
- Add new user profiles by entering their names and assigning roles (e.g., standard user or restricted user).
- Set permissions for each user, such as printing, scanning, or accessing specific features.
Step 4: Save and Apply Settings
- Review the changes and click Save or Apply to confirm.
- Restart the printer to ensure the settings take effect.
