Printing is very slow on this device but I just bought it. I tried resetting the device, checking for updates and printing on normal quality. Nothing seems to work and it takes forever to print a 1 page document. Could you guys help me out ?

Hi @lostinthesauce1,
I'd like to help!
Try the below suggestions -
Reset the printer
Resetting the printer can resolve some types of slow printing issues.
-
With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the printer.
-
Unplug the power cord from the power source.
-
Turn off Quiet mode (Windows 10)Wait 60 seconds.
-
Reconnect the power cord to a wall outlet and to the printer.
NOTE:
HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet.
Try to print. If the issue persists, continue to the next step.
Turn off Quiet mode (Windows 10)
Turn off Quiet mode using HP Printer Assistant software:
-
Search Windows for HP, and then double-click the name of your printer.
The HP Printer Assistant software opens.
-
Click Quiet mode icon at the top of the bar.
-
On the Quiet mode tab, select Off option and then click Save to turn off Quiet mode
Use a different USB cable
Using a USB cable that is too long or improperly shielded can affect print speed.
If the printer is connected with a USB cable, try using a different USB cable, and then try to print. If the issue persists, continue to the next step.
Print with both cartridges
Some printer models allow you to print with only one cartridge installed. Printing with only one cartridge causes slower print speed.
Make sure all cartridges are properly installed. Replace empty cartridges as necessary, and then try to print. If the issue persists, continue to the next step.
Check the network status
If your printer is connected to a wired or wireless network, there are several tips that might resolve slow printing issues.
-
On your computer, check the wireless signal strength by clicking the wireless connection icon in the Windows task bar. If the signal strength is low, move the router, computer, and printer closer together.
-
Make sure there are no additional strains on your network, such as downloading or streaming services. Depending on your bandwidth, these activities can significantly affect print speed.
-
If the printer is connected to the network with an Ethernet cable, make sure the cable connections are secure.
-
Restart your router by unplugging it, waiting 10 seconds, and plugging it back in
try updating the printer's firmware - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
