I can't believe how hard it is to get assistance it is for HP customers - - the HP service is horrible and their online "virtual" support is pretty useless. After almost one full day of trying to get someone online or on a very hard to find phone number, I was told that I have to pay for assistance to add the HP app to my desktop for my printer. I was asked by the virtual assistant repeatedly to buy a warranty for a very sturdy and dependable printer that is 7 years old. The HP person who I finally got on the phone transferred me to a separate company that wanted to charge me for help. Only after googling other angry HP customer's comments was I able to find a very easy solution. An HP rep could have spent 30 seconds with me to fix this. Wow...so frustrating.
If the printer breaks I'll just buy a new one. But given the enormous difficulty of reaching a live person at HP or getting help from them I am pretty sure I won't buy one of their products.
