HP color laser Jet Pro M452nw
Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan

I have downloaded the software for my HP color laser Jet Pro M452nw, but all that shows up in the applications window is HP Utility   46 bytes  "Alias".  I cannot move this to my dock. Should other HP software show up for my printer?

BTW-I printer DOES work.

Hi,

as this is a printer only HP Utility would be the only application for your printer.

Can you open HP Utility by clicking that alias?

If yes click it to open the application, then right click the HP Utiity icon shown on the dock and select Keep in Dock.

If it won't launch go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners.

Double click the printer and click the Settings button.

Open the Utiity tab and then click Open Utitity, may that opens HP Utility?

Click the Yes button to reply that the response was helpful or to say thanks.
