Went to upgrade my printer from basic to full. Followed all the directions: donloaded full first then deleted basic. Am trying to reinstall printer software and drivers, but only get as far as H.P. Connected screen. I have already loged in and went through the different options that I already have set up. I keep getting a box stating the following:
Exit Divice Service Setup
Are you sure you want to close this Window?
IF you exit, you can complete your setup later by saving this link: (in blue and underlined: Copy link to clipboard)
Click continue to continue set up or close.
This is the end of the line....I can't go any farther and my printer is still not recognized.
It prints, but I can't see any settings to do dubble sided or anything elce for that mater.
Says my driver is not avalible under divices.
PLEASE help! I need my printer back!!!!

Thank you for joining HP Forums.
This is a great place to get support, find answers to your technical queries.
I understand that the full-featured driver is not installed on the computer, need not worry I'll be glad to assist you.
You keep getting a box stating the following options mentioned below.
Exit Device Service Setup
Are you sure you want to close this Window?
If you exit, you can complete your setup later by saving this link: (in blue and underlined: Copy link to clipboard)
Click continue to continue set up or close.
Click on Continue and continue the setup.
If the issue persists, I recommend you delete the driver at the root level and retry, follow the steps below:
1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features
2.) Select your HP Printer
3.) Select Uninstall
4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers
5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose `Delete' or `Remove Device'
6.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.
7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between "printui.exe" and "/s")
8.) Click on the "Drivers" tab
9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom
10.) Select Ok
11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows
12.) Close Devices and Printers
Now click on this link: https://hp.care/2Kx16z0 download and install the drivers.
Keep me posted, how it goes!
However, we'll try and follow up in next 24 to 48 hours to doublecheck on the issue.
