It appears I was in the settings area via the IP address and somehow changed something that locked and disbabled Device Information, Fax Basic Setup and every other Fax option available. I can't get into any of these.

I've gone thru everything I've seen on the forum. It appears this may be a password clue only given by HP Rep thru private message? I'm not understanding those who were successful there.

I reset the printer to factory. I've checked by Embedded Web Server settings and applied and still I get the error shown in the image above. I'm at my wits end and as a techie I'm starting to pull my hair out. There has to be a better way of doing about fixing this. I can't believe the responses I saw by HP and Non HP folks. Sorta really strange. HP, why can't you make a Chat window like every other billion dollar company out there?

A warm welcome to HP Forums! This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips to your technical queries.

Since you have already tried restoring the printer to factory settings, the only option left is to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer. The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.

I've send you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.

Thank you. I ended up figuring it out myself and told the last person you guys are giving information that may be incorrect. Folks on the reset will sometimes not see the back button. So advise them to press it where it would normally appear regardless. Only then will someone see the reset menu.
