HP DeskJet Ink Advantage 2135 All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 11

i can see the printer on my windows control panel and even did a test print. Even HP Easy start software recognizes the printer but the HP Smart software is not able to recognize the printer at all after multiple tries.

Hi @Ravikumar_K,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand how frustrating this must be that the HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 2135 All-in-One Printer especially when everything seems connected, but HP Smart just won’t recognize the printer. Let’s walk through what might be going on and how to fix it with care and clarity.

Try These Steps to Resolve:

  1. Make Sure the HP Smart App is Up to Date
    • Visit the Microsoft Store and check for updates to HP Smart.
    • If it’s outdated, it may struggle to detect local USB printers.

  2. Reset the HP Smart App
    • Go to Settings > Apps > HP Smart > Advanced Options > Reset
    • This clears the cache and settings that may be interfering.

  3. Add the Printer Manually
    • In HP Smart, click Add Printer > Set up a new printer and look for “USB connected printers.”
    • If it doesn’t show up, close and reopen HP Smart.

  4. Run HP Print and Scan Doctor
    • Download from HP’s website. It’s a more in-depth tool that can resolve conflicts between HP software and the printer. Click Here

I hope this helps.
