Product: HP OfficeJet Pro 8028 All-in-One Printer

My OS operating system is Ventura (not listed).  It seems that HP "upgraded" the software for the OJ Pro 8028 All-in-One.  Today, I put a document in the feeder.  It acknowledges with a tone and "Document Loaded" on the printer screen.  However, when I press scan it does NOT feed the document into the scanner.  It scans as if I manually placed the document face down on the scanner to scan.  

This unit has functioned as designed until this "update".  The unit is 3+ years old. However, HP has continued sell this style of printer/scanner.
