Thank you for posting on HP Forums,

As I understand, you're having issues installing printer drivers,

No worries, as I'll be glad to help you, that said, I'll need a few more details to dissect your concern & provide an accurate solution:

When was the last time it worked fine?

Were there any hardware/software changes made?

Do you get an error message?

Let's try these steps to resolve the issue:

Root level uninstall and reinstall printer drivers:

  • Go to Control panel – Programs and feature – Select all the HP DeskJet printer entries and uninstall them.
  • Now go to Control panel – Devices and printer – Select all the printer entries and remove the device.
  • Then press the "windows key" + "r" to get the "Run" window open - Type "printui.exe /s" and press enter.
  • Under print server properties, go to drivers - remove any entry there as well.
  • Again, go to run window, type – “c:/programdata” – Go to Hewlett Packard folder, remove any printer related folders & files.

To reinstall full feature drivers, click here: https://hp.care/2tLQUMW

If the issue continues, you could install basic drivershttps://hp.care/2NhhZ2D

Or you could uninstall drivers and reinstall using Windows built-in drivershttps://hp.care/2xByCk4

If the issue persists, please create a new user account and reinstall printer drivers.

To create a new user account, follow these steps:

  1. Select Control Panel from the Start Menu.
  2. You can find this link under User Accounts and Family Safety.
  3. After you click Add or Remove User Accounts, the Manage Accounts dialog box will open, allowing you to click Create a New Account.
  4. In the resulting Name an account and choose an account type window, you can follow the onscreen instructions to enter a name for the account, select the account type, and set a password for it if you like.
  5. You can simply close the Control Panel after you’ve clicked the Create Account button.
  6. Then login to your new account and install printer drivers.

Let me know how that pans out

I hope you have a good day ahead,

And Feel free to ask any other queries as well,

Considering, this forum has some of the best people in the world available and ready to help.
