As I understand, you're having issues installing printer drivers,
No worries, as I'll be glad to help you, that said, I'll need a few more details to dissect your concern & provide an accurate solution:
When was the last time it worked fine?
Were there any hardware/software changes made?
Do you get an error message?
Let's try these steps to resolve the issue:
Root level uninstall and reinstall printer drivers:
- Go to Control panel – Programs and feature – Select all the HP DeskJet printer entries and uninstall them.
- Now go to Control panel – Devices and printer – Select all the printer entries and remove the device.
- Then press the "windows key" + "r" to get the "Run" window open - Type "printui.exe /s" and press enter.
- Under print server properties, go to drivers - remove any entry there as well.
- Again, go to run window, type – “c:/programdata” – Go to Hewlett Packard folder, remove any printer related folders & files.
To reinstall full feature drivers, click here: https://hp.care/2tLQUMW
If the issue continues, you could install basic drivers: https://hp.care/2NhhZ2D
Or you could uninstall drivers and reinstall using Windows built-in drivers: https://hp.care/2xByCk4
If the issue persists, please create a new user account and reinstall printer drivers.
To create a new user account, follow these steps:
- Select Control Panel from the Start Menu.
- You can find this link under User Accounts and Family Safety.
- After you click Add or Remove User Accounts, the Manage Accounts dialog box will open, allowing you to click Create a New Account.
- In the resulting Name an account and choose an account type window, you can follow the onscreen instructions to enter a name for the account, select the account type, and set a password for it if you like.
- You can simply close the Control Panel after you’ve clicked the Create Account button.
- Then login to your new account and install printer drivers.
Let me know how that pans out
I hope you have a good day ahead,
And Feel free to ask any other queries as well,
