If you are experiencing issues with margins on your HP OfficeJet 4650 printer, you can try the following steps to resolve the problem:
Check Printer Software Settings:
- Ensure that the correct paper size and print quality settings are selected in the printer software.
- In the printer software, click on Print, then Scan & Fax, and finally Set Preferences to access the print properties.
- Check and adjust the Media drop-down list and Quality Settings drop-down list.
Align the Print Cartridges: Aligning the print cartridges ensures high-quality output and that the print alignment is correct.
- Load unused plain letter or A4 white paper into the input tray.
- Depending on your operating system, follow these steps to align the cartridges:
- Windows:
- Open the printer software, click on Print, then Scan & Fax, and then Maintain Your Printer to access the printer toolbox.
- Under the Device Services tab, click on Align Ink Cartridges. Follow the on-screen instructions.
- From Printer Display:
- From the printer control panel display, touch Tools.
- Touch Align Printer and follow the on-screen instructions.
- Windows:
Print a Diagnostics Page:
- This can help to identify if there are any issues with the print alignment.
- Load unused plain letter or A4 white paper into the input tray.
- From the printer software or the printer display:
- From Printer Software:
- Open the Printer Toolbox, and under the Device Reports tab, click on Print Diagnostic Information.
- From Printer Display:
- Touch Tools and then Print Quality Report to print a diagnostics page.
- From Printer Software:
Adjust Margins in the Document:
- Ensure that the margins set in the document you are printing match or exceed the minimum margin settings required by the printer.
- Use the following minimum margin settings for your document:
- Left (LM): 3.3 mm (0.13 inch)
- Right (RM): 3.3 mm (0.13 inch)
- Top (TM): 3.3 mm (0.13 inch)
- Bottom (BM): 3.3 mm (0.13 inch)
