My HP Envy 6132e printer stopped making copies of the documents out of a sudden. It starts to scan and print, then some part of the page is printed and then critical error F0.01.03.04 occurs, the screen of printer starts to be frozen, then F0.01.01.02 pops up and printer restarts. The firmware is up to date. So far nothing helps.

Hi @Roman2026

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Here are the steps to address the copying issue with your HP Envy 6132e printer:

Power Reset

  • With the printer powered on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  • Wait at least 60 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet and reconnect it to the printer.
  • Turn the printer back on and try copying again.

Check for Hardware Blockages

  • Open the scanner lid and ensure there is no obstruction or debris on the glass or under the lid.
  • Inspect the paper path and remove any jammed or partially fed sheets.
  • Confirm that the paper is loaded correctly in the tray and is not curled or damaged.

Run Diagnose & Fix from HP App (Windows)

  • Open the HP App on your Windows computer.
  • Select your printer.
  • Go to Printer Settings and choose Diagnose & Fix.
  • Allow the tool to run and apply any corrections it suggests.

Check Copy Settings

  • On the printer control panel, verify that the copy settings are set to default (e.g., plain paper, normal quality).
  • Avoid using special paper types or custom settings while testing.

Update Printer Firmware

  • Even though you mentioned the firmware is up to date, confirm once more through the HP App.
  • Go to Printer SettingsAdvanced SettingsFirmware Update.
  • Apply any available updates.

Perform a Printer Reset to Defaults

  • On the printer control panel, navigate to SetupPrinter MaintenanceRestoreRestore Factory Defaults.
  • The printer will restart. Reconfigure wireless or other settings afterward.
  • Test copying again.

Test with Different Documents

  • Place a simple text document on the scanner glass.
  • Try copying in black & white mode only.
  • If successful, gradually test with more complex documents.

Please try these steps in sequence. If the issue persists after completing all of them, let me know the exact point at which the error reappears so we can refine the troubleshooting further.

I tried everything that you suggested but nothing helped. Still, at the very end of copying process the printer crashes and prints incomplete sheet.5330231105455593556.jpg5330231105455593558.jpg5330231105455593557.jpg

Thanks for replying @Roman2026

Your printer is encountering critical system errors (F0.01.03.04 and F0.01.01.02) that cause it to freeze and restart. These errors typically point to firmware or hardware communication issues, but there are several structured steps you can take to stabilize the device before considering further options.

Step 1: Power Reset

  • Turn off the printer using the power button.
  • Disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and from the wall outlet.
  • Wait at least 60 seconds to clear residual charge.
  • Reconnect the power cord directly to a wall outlet (avoid surge protectors).
  • Turn the printer back on.

Step 2: Clear Copy/Scan Queue

  • Cancel any pending copy or scan jobs from the printer’s control panel.
  • If the printer freezes mid-copy, restart and ensure no jobs are stuck in memory before retrying.

Step 3: Check Firmware Integrity

  • Confirm that the firmware version displayed matches the latest release (622.2.00.200520222241 is current).
  • If the printer shows instability, reinstall the firmware update using the HP App on Windows or macOS.

Step 4: Reset Printer Settings

  • On the printer’s control panel, navigate to Setup > Printer Maintenance > Restore Defaults.
  • This clears corrupted settings that may trigger system errors.

Step 5: Test Copy Function

  • Place a single-page document on the scanner glass (avoid multi-page feeder for now).
  • Try copying in black & white mode first, then color.
  • Observe if the error recurs at the same stage.

Step 6: Isolate Hardware Factors

  • Remove and reseat both ink cartridges.
  • Ensure no paper fragments are stuck inside the paper path.
  • Run a Print Quality Diagnostic from the printer’s menu to confirm cartridge communication.

Step 7: Run Diagnose & Fix

  • Open the HP App on your computer.
  • Select your printer > Printer Settings > Diagnose & Fix.
  • Allow the tool to scan for firmware, driver, and hardware communication issues.

Step 8: Controlled Restart

  • If the error persists, restart the printer after each failed copy attempt.
  • Document whether the error occurs consistently with specific types of documents (e.g., text-only vs. images).

By performing a full power reset, clearing jobs, reinstalling firmware, restoring defaults, and running Diagnose & Fix through the HP App, you can systematically eliminate causes. Testing with simple copy jobs helps confirm whether the issue is tied to hardware communication or corrupted settings.

Take care, and have an amazing day!
