My PC Dell XPS401L was updated from Win 7 to Win 10. Then the HP software DJ1510_188 was installed.
The task was ok until the required connection of the Dekjet to the USB port.
The acknowledge sound was heard but he screen remain unchanged despite I wait several minutes. Thus the instalation remain unfinished. However, the printer and the scanner are both operative but is not available the important "Solution Center" screen. I alredy apply the error solutions indicated by HP support withot sucess.
The system shows that the trouble appear at the USBsetup.exe
Can some one to help about this ?

Hi @Horacio_B,
Thanks for reaching out to the HP Support Forums for a solution to your installation issue.
I understand that you are trying to use an HP Deskjet 1510 All-in-One Printer with a PC that was upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10 but the USB installation does not finish and the HP solution Center is not available. I would like to help.
I would start by disconnecting the USB cable and uninstalling all printer related software. Here is a support document that can be used for reference if needed - Uninstalling the Printer Software (Windows).
Once that is finished try using the HP Printer Install Wizard for the installation. This tool will get the software and help with the install.
Please let me know if this resolves the issue, or if you require further assistance.
In fact, if this helps you to reach a solution please click the "Accept as Solution", and the "thumbs up" buttons down below in this message. 🙂
Thanks!

Although I've seen similar issues raised by other forum members, the replies don't work for me. I have a LaserJet Professional M1536dnf MFP. Every time I am prompted to upate the software and/or drivers, the install operation fails after the software has been downloaded, even though I carefully follow all of the instructions. I have even uninstalled the old software and restarted my computer. Yet the error persists: "An install operation took too long to execute. This is a fatal error preventing product use." If I choose "Cancel," I'm asked, "Are you sure you want to cancel?" If I choose "Yes," I get another message that says, "Thank you for choosing HP, Exiting, please wait." It never exits. I've tried everything, and nothing works. I have another printer, a LaserJet Pro 400 Color series, that connects wirelessly through the network, and I have no problem updating software and drivers. Since the M1536 connects with a USB cable, could it be a USB issue in spite of the fact that I have tried other USB cables in order to isolate cable problems? I always disconnect and reconnect the cable when prompted to do so, but it makes no difference. The install operation still fails.
