The withdrawal of all further support for the HP Photosmart C4580 printer is unacceptable. HP is effectively disabling currently functioning printers by denying them access to Windows 11 computers. The drivers are installable on Windows 10 machines, but since all Windows 10 Operating Systems will eventually be upgraded to Windows 11, owners of the HP C4580 printer will not be able to use it. HP is smugly telling complainants that they should buy another printer. I suggest that they either reimburse owners of the HP C4580 for the retail cost, or provide a comparable printer at its own expense.

Welcome to our HP User Forum!
Look, far be it from me, a fellow user, to whitewash whatever corporate entities decide to cut cost and/or to promote their own financial interests.
So, depending on the source, the HP Photosmart c4480 was first released either in 2008 or 2009.
To HP's defense, the point is one of sustainability. This 13+ year old printer and many other devices in the industry are discontinued because of age and the ever-increasing challenge to maintain support services and to keep/maintain stock & parts available for an ever-increasing repertoire/inventory of devices.
Unfortunately, it cannot be done.
A good rule of thumb: if your printer is more than seven or eight years old, it would be a good idea to shop around for a new unit.
Kind Regards,
